Spellementa Privacy Policy

BrownBerg LLC · This policy takes effect when Spellementa launches.

Pre-release draft. The final version will be posted here, with its effective date, before the game is available to download.

1. Who we are

Spellementa is made and published by BrownBerg LLC. Contact: admin@brownbergllc.com.

2. The short version

Free (ad-supported)Paid (ad-free)
What BrownBerg LLC collectsNothingNothing
What third parties collect The ad network may process your device's advertising identifier to serve and frequency-cap ads Your app store keeps its own record of your purchase
Accounts / uploads / cloudNoneNone
Where your progress livesOn your device onlyOn your device only

We built the game so there is nothing to leak: no accounts, no logins, no chat, no uploads, no cloud storage, no analytics. Your progress is a local save file on your device, and uninstalling the game deletes it.

3. The free, ad-supported version

The free version shows short ads between levels, served by a third-party ad network. To serve ads and limit how often you see the same one, the ad network may process your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID / Apple IDFA) and coarse technical data such as device model and approximate, country-level region.

This collection is performed by the ad network under its own privacy policy, not by BrownBerg LLC. We do not receive, store, or resell this data. Where the law or the platform requires it, the ad SDK is configured to serve non-personalized ads. See also Google's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy. The final ad network and a link to its policy will be named here before launch.

4. The paid, ad-free version

Buying the remove-ads product turns ads off. After that, no third party collects anything through the game. The only record of you that exists is the purchase record your app store keeps under its own terms.

5. Payments and other third parties

6. Use of AI

Spellementa's content — its art, audio, story text, and word puzzles — was created with the assistance of AI tools, under human direction and review. The app itself contains no chatbot, sends no user data to any AI service at runtime, and no user data is used to train AI systems.

7. No accounts, no uploads, no cloud

The game has no account system, no way to upload anything, and no cloud storage of any kind. Your progress — levels reached, words found, settings, purchase state — is stored in a single local save file on your device. Deleting the app deletes it. We cannot read it, restore it, or link it to you.

8. Children's privacy

Spellementa is a word puzzle game for a general audience. Because the game itself collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. In the free version, the ad SDK is configured to serve non-personalized ads where required by law (including COPPA) and platform family policies.

9. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)

BrownBerg LLC holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or port. For data handled by third parties:

If you believe we hold any personal data about you, contact us and we will respond.

10. Subscriptions and cancellation

If the remove-ads product is offered as an auto-renewing subscription:

To cancel on Android: open the Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions → Spellementa → Cancel subscription. Or use the Manage / Cancel Subscription button in the game's settings, which takes you straight there.

To cancel on iPhone/iPad: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Spellementa → Cancel Subscription. Or use the Manage / Cancel Subscription button in the game's settings.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; until then you keep ad-free play. Refunds are handled by the platform under its own policy.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. A change that expanded data collection would be called out in the app before it took effect.
